Like every Sunday, I went shopping for the week and bought everything I needed, as always.
Nothing foreshadowed that this day would be different from the others.
But on the second day, after returning from work, I wanted to cook dinner for the family and set the table. That’s when an unexpected event happened.
Opening the refrigerator, I found the tomatoes from the previous day in a state I had never seen before.
These small strange marks on their skin immediately caught my attention. I was even scared, thinking that something was wrong. Was this a sign of spoilage or mold?
When I found out what it was, I was sh0cked.
After observing for a while, I realized that these marks were not just defects caused by heat or storage.
I learned that such damage is often caused by insect bites, such as tomato worms, in particular gray or white worms.
