· For the Wet Ingredients:
· 1/2 cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter, melted
· 3/4 cup (150g) packed light brown sugar
· 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
· 1 large egg, at room temperature
· 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
· 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
· 1 cup (about 2-3 medium) very ripe bananas, mashed (the spottier, the better!)
· For the Dry Ingredients:
· 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
· 1/2 cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder (Dutch-processed is best for a rich flavor)
· 1 teaspoon baking soda
· 1/2 teaspoon salt
· 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (plus a little extra for sprinkling on top)
