Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly, then cut them in half lengthwise.
Place the potatoes in a baking dish with the cut side facing up.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, vegetable oil, salt, and oregano.
Pour the mixture evenly over the potatoes, making sure they are well coated.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the potatoes are golden brown and tender inside.
(Optional) Turn them halfway through for extra crispiness.
Serve hot and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
